Rooted on Magazine is home to five independent private practices serving individuals and families throughout the Greater New Orleans area. Together, our providers offer a diverse range of therapeutic approaches, specialties, and services designed to meet the unique needs of our community. Depending on the practice and provider, services may include individual and family therapy, expressive and creative approaches, psychological evaluations, wellness-focused services, consultation, and other forms of support across the lifespan. Our practices accept a variety of insurance plans and payment options, including private pay, making it easier for community members to find care that aligns with their needs, preferences, and resources. While each practice operates independently, we share a commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and grounded space where people can connect, heal, grow, and feel supported.
Our Story
Rooted on Magazine began when Nicole de la Fuente, LCSW-BACS, founder of Empowering Expressions Therapy Group, found a space on Magazine Street with the potential to become something bigger than a traditional therapy office.
The vision was to cultivate a warm, creative, and welcoming home where independent clinicians could grow their practices while also building community together. What started as a place for therapy has grown into a shared space for connection, creativity, wellness, support, and collaboration.
Today, Rooted is home to five independent practices and continues to grow as a space for therapy, support groups, psychoeducation, workshops, expressive arts, wellness programming, and community-centered events. At its heart, Rooted is about creating a place where both the people who provide care and the people who seek it can feel connected, supported, and inspired.
